IEP goals that are generated by the assessment results?

Kate Hurst Responded:

"The cost of the FIELA curriculum as it is sold on LilliWorks varies depending on how you buy it. There is a manual which contains all the content of the curriculum, but you can also buy it with the velcroboard and cards. Here are the prices listed on Lilliworks:
BK-TFC The FIELA Curriculum (manual only) $60 $7
BK-VPB Velcro Planning Board (FIELA) $100 $15
BK-CMC Catalogue with Moveable Cards and
FIELA Manual $749 $15

The curriculum is appropriate for all chronological ages, but is for individuals who are developmentally in the sensorimotor and early pre-operational stages of development. That is why it is important to have assessment (like the Functional Scheme) to determine if it is appropriate.

We will be updating our training list soon. Not sure at this moment what training might be happening in Oregon or Washington, but you are welcome to participate in the scheduled webinars for 2016-2017 which are free."

IEP goals that are generated by the assessment results?

Patty Obrzut Responded:

"Hi Ellen,

I find using the Functional Scheme helps to predict what skills will come next in children with multiple special needs. Some of the ideas in the Fiela curriculum also help to identify what comes next developmentally."

IEP goals that are generated by the assessment results?

Is there a objective bank for IEP goals that are generated by the assessment results?

So often we are asked to "predict" children's exploration sequences if we want to have active learning goals on the IEP. I find myself struggling to "predict" what is a natural process of building curiosity and increasing action that each child does in their own time at their own rate.
